Dark brown. Bubbly head. The aroma is rummy, light sweet chocolate nose. Rich on the palate, lots of rummy notes, molasses. And a sugary palate that shows quite a lot of chocolate.

Golden-brown, the aroma is sugar pie, rhum, light apple fruit. Light sweet sugars, with the pale malt, dried apricots, dates, and golden syrup. Good brew, nice barrelly balance. Well I knew I was going to like this.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dry Brett notes with some light spicy yeast notes and some vinous notes are also perceptible. Taste is a good mix of dry Bretty notes with some tart and vinous notes with light spicy yeast notes. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. Closer to a sour then a tripel but well brewed nonetheless.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color. Smells like stale dark beer, some rum, green apples. Medium body strength, and the alcohol is a bit too strong; light residual sweetness, some roasted nuts, some tobacco.
Quite chaotic.

22 oz. bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours black with a reddish tint and a small beige head. Aroma brings out a great mix of rum and roasted malt. Flavour is likewise a mix of roasted malt and rum in good balance, though it is a touch rough / jagged. Not boozy at all. Light-to-medium bodied for the style. Good stuff.

Tasting at Matt’s
Beautiful red-amber color with small head. Some aroma of caramel, malt, spirit. The body is mildly sweet, less than expected from a barley Wine, with more alcohol than one would desire; nice flavor, but not much malt depth, and indeed the final is quite weak; a bit nutty, some rum.
Nice beer, bellow expectations.

22 oz. bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of caramel malts, rum barrels, a little red wine and alcohol. Flavour is complex, with well-integrated rum barrels, followed by caramel and bready notes. Quite a soft palate, with no booziness. Surprisingly excellent.

Bottle - Sweet and Apple like notes, with some spicy notes and orange. Clearish copper with a small white head. Lots of interesting oaky, Apple and a nice sweet long finish. Nice, but a bit thinn.
