Au début, on sent la présence de caramel et de malt. Le houblon et l’alcool sont très présents en finale. Je note une astringence rappelant les cerises à grappes... Bonne bière dans l’ensemble ;)

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral hoppy notes with some caramel malt is refreshing. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with some floral hoppy notes and limited bitterness. Some green notes are noticeable but not overly so. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very enjoyable if maybe at tad too sweet for my own taste.

Parfum floral, de foin fraichement coupé et de carton. Ça goûte fruité (sureau?) avec une forte présence d’alcool et de caramel brûlé.

Personnellement, je préfère la version régulière de ce produit. À part le parfum un peu louche et l’effervescence faible, tout colle. On sent bien l’amertume et ça colle au palais ;)

500ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting & lacing, off-white head. Herbal and floral hoppy aroma, bayberry notes, sweet-ish caramel malty background. Taste is herbal and floral hoppy, notes of bayberry, dark berries and corresponding shrubs, a soapy touch, slightly sweet caramel malty basis, soapy bitterness. Overdone herb addition brings about too much soapiness.

Des notes de toast brulées d’une puissance moyenne s’étalent longuement en olfactif. On y dénote également de la viande fumée ainsi que du café et du chocolat. Manque un peu de puissance. Le visuel est noir, opaque, avec une mousse d’une bonne épaisseur, de densité crémeuse et au maintient très long. Elle laisse aussi de belles traces sur le verre. L’attaque est légèrement sucrée avec du chocolat qui en ressort bien, suivie d’une très légère acidité et d’une finale avec une pointe d’amertume. Bon équilibre. Les saveurs sont définitivement chocolatées, avec des notes de fumé mais sans agressivité. La texture est mince mais typique d’un porter. L’effervescence douce et bien dosée. Un porter honnête et bien tenu, présentant un excellent équilibre.

[ As Le Naufrageur Double IPA au Myrique Baumier ].Light unclear medium orange amber color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, herbs, spicy, soapy, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, pine - wood - spruce, herbs, flowers, soapy, caramel, malt sweet, sweet fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140719]

Hopfiger, gut abgestimmter Kräuterantrunk. Schnell intensiviert sich der Hopfen, hintergründige, später deutlicher erkennbare Bitterkeit. Fruchtig hopfig, die Kräuternoten wandern erst etwas in den Hintergrund, starten dann aber voll durch und sind mit dem Hopfen auf einem Level. Vollmundig, kurzzeitig etwas brennend alkoholisch in der Nase. Rundum gelungen! 11/12/12/12/7/12

Sample at Atlantic Beer Festival Moncton. Hazy very pale yellow color. Aroma is dusty, peppery, herbal. Taste is lightly spiced lemony straw. Light body.
