500ml bottle @ Cardinal. Red/brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma is a bit overripe fruit and some kind of strange hops. Flavor is sweet malty, citrus, dry fruit prunes, raisin) and bitter. Medium body. This beer is OK, but a bit unusually. A combination of fresh fruity and overripe fruit.

Bottle. I don’t know if I just had a mishandled beer or if the head is really that foamy, but even with my careful pouring into the bottle it was undrinkable for nearly 15 minutes while I tried to get the foam to dissipate. Slight citrus aroma, with a bitterness in the finish. Overall the beverage was not freshing.

Bottle. Roasted, but not toasted, malt aroma. Also some sort of grass or slightly sour note. Rich, ripe apricot amber color with a frothy white head that leaped to the top of the glass. Frothy lace tatters. Medium bodied. Nearly creamy carbonation. The flavor is hard to describe. It starts a bit citrus, goes through some fruity permutations, and seems to end with a bit of chocolate! The finish is woody and dry. It’s from the Forest of Dean, it’s bottle conditioned, and it’s tasty. So why is everyone rating it so low? Imagine this on cask.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 4.5%. Freeminer is not mentioned on the label, only I.B.S. Ltd. Cloudy amber colour, moderate head. Aroma of fermenting fruits and vegetables - yes, there are notes of kitchen garbage, like Tarjei suggests. The flavour is yeasty and fruity, notes of rotting fruits and vegetables again, like a homebrew going bad. Dry hoppy finish. I guess they have been trying, but have not succeeded. I’m not even sure the big bad biker on the label would have been entirely happy with this brew.

Clear golden amber body with a huge rocky white head. Aroma of sour floral hops. Flavor of sour caramel and floral hops. This bottle was probably infected. After mixing in a bit of bud light, the sour taste was mellowed some, but I’m leaving my original rating. I can’t say it’s worth the price to buy another bottle to try again.

A black beer. Aroma has a surprising smokiness. Thick on the palate. Light hops, roasted malt and some bread and grain.

Bottle. Jet black with slight tan head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate and black fruits. Smooth mouth feel with flavours of roasted malt, dark chocolate and herbal hops. A very long dry, roasted finish. One of the great British stouts.

Bottle from Co-op. Golden coloured with a decent white head. Hoppy aromas of citrus and elderflowers. Flavours of grapefruit and sweet malt with a long dry finish. Good.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a strong, off-white head. Mild ginger aroma with some accompanying cinnamon. The ginger was more pronounced in the flavour, supported by some sweet mat, warming alcohol and a dry finish. My favourite ginger flavoured beer, although that’s not saying much.
