Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/2030, lot#Mix1.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#75. RENNES. Hazy amber-gold with a thin head. Balanced with the wit styling, taste, and passionfruit flavours - both are evident in what is a crisp brew.

1 March 2025. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks to hosting, Tim & Marina, and cheers to the whole crew!
Lot 1232. Raisin, fig, brambleberry, carré confiture. Sweetish fig & raisin, sourish berries, some artisan milk chocolate. Herbal hops, bit toasty, dried fruits. Very solid 'compromise' between Dubbel and Belgian Dark.

Old rating from 23-08-16 - A 330ml bottle found on my trip through Cassel last summer to Belgium. 6.5 ABV. Pours a hazy golden blond colour with a white head. Aroma is strong of summer fruits & flowers and with almost a perfume, also hints of spices, grain and some sourness detectable. Taste has summer fruits as well as sage & rosemary, slightly sweet flowers, spices, grains & hints of sourness. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Finish is full of hopped bitterness & sweet fruits.

Old rating from 29-07-16 - A one off brew in collaboration with Denis of the Kerelshof beer cafe in Cassel. Enroute to Belgium last August I spent a evening at the Kerelshof, where I came by this 750ml bottle, sampled with Denis, I then brought one to take home. It pours a cloudy red amber colour with a beige foamy head. Aromas of caramel & malt. Tastes of caramel, bread, grain & Simcoe hops leading to a medium bitter finish.

Draught from rattle. Cloudy yeller. Mild head. Aroma was somewhat piney and citrusish. Taste was kind of malty and bitter and earthy. Not what I expected.

Sour and herbal aroma on a malt backbone. Sweet malt taste with again sour herbal taste, light bitterness and mid-dry finish.
