Originally rated October 2005. Purchased at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Written blonde lager on the label. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a medium head. Retention is poor and hardly any lacing. Very nice nose, with mostly caramel, butterscotch and bits of floral scents. Medium-bodied and oily mouthfeel. Sweet malt start with a mild hoppy finish. Notes of maple syrup in the aftertaste. Quite a pleasant blonde lager with some beautiful aromas.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, fruity esters and Belgian yeasts, herbal and crisp, lightly off. In mouth, a grassy peppery malt with fruity notes, herbaceous character, like a home brew i did a long time ago....amateurish!

(printemps 2007)

Originally rated March 2006. After having the Bock Émissaire from Bièropholie, I am trying this one. Bought at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Pours a lighter colour that is amber and cloudy, with a high level of carbonation. The off-white head is very creamy, big and ever-lasting. Some lace is left, but not much. The nose is quite hoppy with floral notes. Mouthfeel is between watery and syrupy. The taste is pretty mild, almost watered down. Some slight caramel and hop. Not too bad, but prefered the Bock Émissaire, because this one is lacking in the flavour department.

Originally rated June 2006. Pours a dark auburn colour with an off-white tiny-bubbled head that has decent retention, but does not leave much lacing. Nice hop is present in the aroma, with some caramel and mild roasted malts. Good 3mm thickness of head stays on top, and lace is finally seen as a sip is taken. Active tiny bubble carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel, with the taste of caramel, light nut, roasted malt and hop. Not much bitterness and thin-bodied, but still a nice average scotch ale.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. A dark coffee beans and soy sauce aroma, bitter and oily. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate with coffee grinds, lightly oily, very smooth, a bit of bitterness acidity. Not bad. 2.69$ 12 on bottle from Peluso.

A hazed blonde wit with a thin white head. In aroma, light cloves and light sulfur notes. In mouth, a sweetish wheat malt with light cloves and bubblegum, a bit of lactic points. Boring. On tap at taphouse, Dec. 27 2010.

A hazed amber ale with a thick moka head. A nice floral hops aroma with light peppery notes, citrus, quite nice. In mouth, a super nice pinhey c-hops attack, with nice biscuitty malts, a bit of funk and menthol, quite good. On tap at taphouse, Dec. 27 2010.

Pours with an amber colour for sure, but absolutely no head. Aroma of slightly barn-funky malts and grass. Taste is wet rye bread and a dry sharp cherry finish. Very rousse-like and pretty good, rather tasty though simple.
