On tap chez gibb in rouyn Noranda. Jet black pour mm beige head. Intense Aroma of roasted, burnt malts and strong dark, almost burnt coffee. Silky mouth feel, luscious carb. Finish is medium to highly bitter, with a strong coffee finish, and intense roast. Great stuff. An important stout/cold coffee combo.

750ml bottle. Slightly hazy orange pour, with a huge white head. Strong Aroma of orange zest, herbs, green tea, dried grass. Incredibly effervescent carb, with a lovely mouth feel. The finish has a strong tea flavour. Reminds me if dried gun powder tea, very dank, and green vegetal flavour from the tea. Some fruit, especially orange zest, and a surprisingly low bitterness.

Jet black, old motor oil pour, with a big, thick dark brown head. Aroma is quite sweet, lots of sour cherry, and dark roasted malts, but sweet, round dark malts. Mouth feel is thick, viscous, and oily, with a soft carb. Finish is roasty, but is dominated by a soft cherry, fruitiness that carries a woody tartness. The whisky is very hard to find, there are hints of woody barrel, but they are very subtle and way in the background. Not whay I expected at all.

750ml bottle. Hazy yellow/golden pour, with a big billowy white head. Lovely Aroma, peppery, sweet tropical fruit, sharp peach skins, some apricot, and green, pungent hop cones. Great mouth feel, solid carb. Finish is light on the bitterness, some subtle sour lemon zest and citrus oil, with some light wheat and more green hop comes. Incredibly drinkable, excellent.

Bright yellow pour, huge white head. Grassy, hints of lemon zest, hay, and some light dank wet hay. A touch vegetal, and herbal, light spice. Incredibly crisp, and refreshing with a lovely carb. Finish is again very grassy low bitterness, this is super refreshing and a wonderful light patio or table beer. The rose hips though don’t add much.

Bottle from the lcbo online store via volo and keep6. Dark amber, almost brown pour, hazy, with a medium off white head. Aroma is tart and funky, vinous notes, some light cherry and earthy woody oak, with hints of spice. Mouth feel is good, carb is spot on. Finish is tart, vinous funk, oak, earthy, cherries, balsamic vinegar, low bitterness. Complex and surprisingly easy drinking.

Bottle from the lcbo website, via volo and keep 6. Hazy yellow pour, with a large white head. Tart wheat aroma, lemon, and lemon zest, lactic notes and some random tropical fruit. The mango is there but it's hard to pick out, it's more of just a general tart tropical fruit note. Medium tartness, quite pithy, thin and a bit watery, with a very soft carb.

Jet black, thick dark brown pour, loads of lace and legs. Strong thick aroma of charred malts, soy, burnt cocoa beans, chocolate, and some woody, earthy vanilla. Mouth feel is very oily, and th carb is bang on. Finish is slightly fruity, with huge amounts of bitterness, and charred bitter malts. The barrels emparts a sweetness that lingers throughout with notes of liquorice and earthy, woody vanilla, with some subtle alcohol warming to finish. Great stuff.

Hazy, Cloudy yellow pour, with a thick medium white head. Aroma is incredibly green, with lots of tropical fruit and some citrus zest. Lots of fresh hop cones with some really nice tart notes. Carb is a little low, mouth feel is good. Finish is zesty, and tart, with hints of crisp cereals and fresh on the vine hop cones. Very refreshing and crisp. Quite nice.
