(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 22 Nov 2017) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of toast, orange peel and slightly earthy hops. Malty, slightly roasted taste with toast, caramel, orange peel, black-currant and a balanced earthy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced bitter. Nice one.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 22nd November 2017. Deep brown with pale tan foam and full lacing. Nutty malt aroma with toasty caramel. Intensely malty in-mouth with rich nuttiness - hazelnut and peanut. Sweet malts and fresh nuttiness in the finish. Full bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours bright mid brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of malt, hop and light roasting. Towards heavy sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask gravity at Kent & East Sussex BF 2017. Clear gold colour lasting white head. A little wild flower on the aroma but then more sweet and malty in the mouth. grassy hop finish good condition. some building bitterness on the finish. colder it would be very drinkable. fresh . good .

Cask gravity at the 21st South Downs Fest. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, bready, biscuit, toasty grain, hay and grass. The taste is pretty bitter, earthy, wood, toasty grain, grass, straw, floral and biscuit with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I am impressed with just how bitter this actually is. Decent enough golden bitter.

On tap at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Amber reddish colour with a tan head. Fruity a light berry aroma. Taste similar with a dry finish.
